Made to order & worth the wait
We believe in making things with intention, and buying them the same way. Every Disport garment begins with an order, then takes shape in our Brooklyn knitting studio. Nothing made in excess, nothing waiting for someone to want it. Just beautiful clothing, made thoughtfully, for the person who will wear it.

Nearly ten years ago, on a trip to Rome, I asked a woman at our hotel for the fastest way to walk to dinner.
“Faster is worser!” she said looking genuinely shocked. She sent us on a longer route instead, through some of the most beautiful streets in the city. She was right, of course, the walk made the night.
I've carried that little piece of Italian wisdom with me ever since. It found its way into Disport, too.

Why is my garment made to order?
Every Disport piece is knit to order in Brooklyn, New York. Making only what is needed allows us to avoid excess inventory and give each garment the attention it deserves.
How long will my order take?
Each garment is made especially for you, with a lead time of approximately 1–2 weeks before shipping. Good things are underway.
Where are Disport garments made?
All of our garments are knit in Brooklyn, New York, using whole-garment knitting technology. Each piece is created in one continuous construction, without the cutting waste of traditional garment production.
How should I care for my knitwear?
A little care goes a long way. Follow the care instructions specific to your garment, wash only when needed, and store your knits folded rather than hanging to help preserve their shape.
How do I choose my size?

Can I return a made-to-order garment?
Of course. We want you to love what you wear. Returns and exchanges are welcome, even on made-to-order pieces, subject to our return policy.
